Lust and love

Lust is such a part of our makeup. Love makes us human. Love is all about mutuality and sharing and caring. Lust is about exercise and building and releasing tension. At least that's how I see lust and love. Some of us are so lofty in love we see lust as a conflict, a threat to be repressed or restricted. Religion is good at splitting off love from lust. I think the two could help each other live a happy and healthy life. We're all differently endowed emotionally and physically. This site helps us to acknowledge our lust. Some of us, me for instance, would like to explore with a woman and/or a man the pleasure of lust with respect to the thoughtfulness of love.

Ianpoman:
I like this post for the honesty presented and the desire to delve beyond the superficial.
As humans, our wants and needs cycle and change on many levels over various periods of time. Lust most certainly can be part of a loving relationship. The cautionary voice speaks louder, to me, when lust seem to be all consuming in a relationship, so that's an imprtant factor. Otherwise, I do believe that slow and sensual pleasures can certainly lead to seriously lust-filled sex.

Love your post, Cor. Without "the cautionary voice" speaking louder when lust seems to be all consuming, the wisdom of being guided by SSC (safe, sane, consensual) isn't able to steer us away from danger, disappointment, bitterness. Love persuades us that there is more to enjoy than to fear. Lust warns us to wait a minute before letting our passion get "airborne". Some of us are just on the runway a lot, waiting for the okay from the "control tower"

But as the body tells us insistently, "When ya gotta go, ya gotta go." Thankfully, there are "proper" (propeller) people and places for that
