I hate to be all doom and gloom,, but the lockdown continues.... We are keeping it going all through February. Well, almost. Schools are bringing back the up to and including the fourth as of Monday.
getting deep-throated by strangers with cotton-swabs once a week, and so far I've been negative.
2020 was the year you could go to work if you were negative and smelling of alcohol. 2021 promises to add, that you can do anything fun, if you are negative, smellling of alcohol, and have had two pricks (with a needle)....
Well, staying positive (as long as I stay negative), and will continue to forward to more normal times.
Thank goodness for vibrators!

Hullo , dear reader.
We have started a new year, and boy has already been doozy!
We're on a lockdown of sorts until February 7th - no restaurants except take away open, no theatre, no cinema, no concerts, no groups over 5, grocery shops/supermarkets/bakeries/pharmacies/opticians open, masks on all public transport, mask on in all indoor spaces open the public....
So my IRL sexlife is on hold until further notice, and life in general is more or less home and work - with the odd grocery-run.

So Yesterday I was deep-throated by a stranger half my age.... with a cotton-swab.... Yup, I had to get tested for the Covid-19 virus. We have an App here in Denmark, that tells you if you have been close to someone with the virus. And if you get a push-notice, you need to get tested. I got a message on Wednesday (although I knew it was coming, as I had already been notified on by the person in question), and immediately set about booking a time for a . The first available wason Sunday at .40. I booked that, but then also looked into one of the drop-in facilities. Found one within a reasonable distance, and went there Yesterday. Stood in line for nearly two hours, but got my done. Now waiting for the result. Slightly worrying, as I spent time with the positive person on Sunday, and then all day with my elderly parents on Monday.....
UPDATE: I'm in the clear!

So, the US elections are done (except for recounts, and it looks like y'all are getting a more, shall we say, sane approach leading the country. I'm sorry any Trump-supporters out there, but from the outside looking in, the past year has shown a deepening divide, with no attempts made bridge, let alone heal. I sincerely hope this will happen.
It is looking looking as if I will be seeing no new action for the rest of the year (Denmark is more or less shutting down as I type), so I will have sigh and remember what was earlier in the year.
How is everyone dealing with socially distant sex? I really miss skin on skin contact - even if sexting is a good thing.

So, dear reader, my holiday is over, and everyday life is back. So up before dawn, facemask on , and get the train to work....
I had a lovely holiday, with nice weather. Spent it in a holiday flat with a lovely view of the sea, a 30 second walk the beach, and just the option of relaxing for a fortnight..... Would have loved stay, but have as yet not won the big prize in the lottery, so need keep working.
Hope y' have had a good summer (unless you're in the Southern Hemisphere, in which case: hope you have a great Spring and Summer).

Well, last time I was complaining about the heat, this time it's the rain.
During this past week we've had some pretty horrendous weather where I live. Last week my town almost got a triple cloudburst (a cloudbust is when you get 15 mm of rain in 30 minutes - we got 42 mm), and typically it happened as I was coming home from work. I have an eight minute walk from the station, and within 2 minutes I was soaked to the skin - and I was wearing a raincoat. I got home, and went straight into my bathroom, and stripped down. I was so wet, that it took my handbag, sandals, and raincoat two days to dry out!
So great times, when your're on holiday! I had hoped, that I would be able to enjoy some sunshine, and the odd dip in the ocean during the next fortnight. Right now the next week looks cold and wet where I am going. Thank goodness for books, tv, and knitting!!!

Summer has arrived a little later than usual in Denmark. But, boy, has it ever arrived! We've had a couple of days with about 30°C, and it seems going continue for the next week! Not funny, when you're heading towards a week of night shifts... It's going to be really hard to sleep in this heat!
On the plus-side: only two more weeks to go before my summer holidays! I've not had a holiday since April, and have been working through the pandemic - not at home, but at my actual work! I really need the three weeks off! The first week will be spent at home, and then two weeks in a holiday flat overlooking the sea. It will include a couple of trips here and there, and hopefully a lot of relaxing - some knitting, some reading, and if the weather keeps up: daily swims in the sea!
Sex? I wish, but Corona is still about, so probably not....

Today one of my favourite music groups released a music video of a cover they have done, of another amazing musicians song. This song really has a strong, powerful , that the video underlines.

The world is still on the edge of it's seat, as we still see new developements in the virus that has been part of our lives for the most of 2020.
I have tried to keep a normal life going, while staying safe. Before the world shut down in March I had a visit with a good friend, and had some fun, but it's been a while... I am in need - but aren't all us singles?
So how to stay sane and normal? Well, I try to do nice things for myself... So yesterday I had a 'date' with my wax-lady. Yup, I got up on a table, legs akimbo, and she did a good deal of 'ritsch'' work, making me feel sore initially, but ultimately nice, clean, and fresh. Yes, it may be a while yet before anyone gets any use of it, but at least I feel ready....

So we're mid-May, and have gone from lovely warm Spring to windy, colder weather. I am NOT a fan!
Denmark is still opening more and more things, but we're still a LONG way from anything that looks like normal.
On a good note: on Tuesday, a good friend will be back in the country. We met some four years ago, when we bonded over a music group (Home Free - they do fantastic a capella, feel free to look them up. They just passed 1.000.000 subscribers on YouTube). For the past couple of years she's been living in Norway, just outside Hammerfest - which is about as far North as you can get. She's coming back to Denmark for good, and I can't wait to be there to welcome her back.
I finally got a hug last Sunday, when my sister and youngest niece came by with a muffin the latter had baked all by herself. We agreed, that it would be OK to hug,if our skin didn't touch. I'm a happy auntie, now.
Keep looking after yourselves, don't take unconsidered risks, and let's get through this!

Ah, May is here! The month of buds, green leaves , birds chirping at ungodly hours (actually, it's more like birds screaming their tiny little heads off at the break of dawn), and the general de-frosting of the world (in the Northern Hemisphere...).
We're still not allowed full mobility, a lot of people are still working from home, and we are eagerly awaiting our Prime Ministers next press-meeting - we hope more things get to open.
As I told last week, my wax-lady is finally open for business, and I've had a good clearout, so I'm nice and smooth again (with a triangle on top - I'm not a ...) which is so nice - hope to be able to see some action sooner rather than later. But we must be patient.
I really miss hugs - and the other players on the golf course give you weird looks, when you hug the trees.....

Spring has sprung, the world is getting greener by the hour, and yet, the joys are still distant.
Denmark har gradually been letting up some of the lock-down modes, and things and services are becoming available again. One such service is beauty parlours and hairdressers. Dark (or light, as the case may be) roots are quickly disappearing. Home made fades are being rescued by the pros. People are revelling in being able to look and feel like themselves again. All dressed up, and no-where to go... Because bars, cinemas, theatres, restaurants (except take-away), and concert venues are still shut....
I will be experiencing my first human contact since March 1st, when I lie down on my beauticians table tomorrow, and let here loose with her wax on my delicate areas... I was supposed to see her a month ago, so I could go on holiday in a less hirsuite mode... Now it's like I've never been, down there, a veritable jungle... She is also going to administer a facial detox, so I can go out into the Spring, with a clear(er) face...
It will probably be painful (boys, it's HOT wax on my labia!!!), but I will me feeling another persons touch... I'm not usually a masochist, but the resulting softness is something I love...

The world is still pretty much shut down - although Denmark is slowly getting back into a more normal way of life.
Our daycare, kindergarten, and 6th grade in school will be more or less and running during next week - some places are having difficulty with new guidelines regarding distance between and such, a degree that Tivoli Gardens will be hosting one of the local daycares (Tivoli har a big chidrens playground).
On the other hand, big gatherings will be out until September, which means festivals are off, including the Tønder Festival - which has been part of my summer holiday for the past five years. The day after this was announced, the headlining act, John Pryne, passed away from the virus.
I'm back at work,after two weeks staycation in "Hotel Mi Casa", by the "Costa del Balcony", having spent a lot of it on "Playa del Doublebed" binging Netflix (And no: I didn't finish Tiger King - I only got halfway into the first episode, and had to stop). we are slowly ramping the amount of trains running back more normal numbers, although we still only aim at 50% occupancy for the sake of social distancing.
I miss hugs, both of the clothed and unclothed variety, but they willcome back in due course. My last hug was on march 1st, when I was saying goodbye friends after a concert in Oslo. My last unclothed one was mid-February.....
