These are a few things that I think would make Jim laugh or something Jim would say. I can still hear his New Yorker Accent telling me a joke or talking bullshit!! He was a diehard Republican. I wonder what Jim would be saying about the world today......

What a great story and a tragic loss. So many lost for reasons we can't understand. Seems like a great man and should be remembered for all the bravery of himself and others like him. Glad to hear someone is remembering him this way.

After all the years "Sorry for your Loss" dose not seem right. You lost a friend and it hurts. You are carrying on very well and I hope you find another man like Jim in your life.

Keep on carrying on!

So nice to be insane; no one asks you to explain.

Thanks for sharing your memories. I dread this day. I remember where I was. I was working for a company HQ'd in NYC. Monday I was giving a presentation, telling them the project I was going to implement the next day. How I was going to spearhead a new tax technology product line. The night before I went to dinner with a partner at the top of the building, it was raining, at halftime of MNF it started to clear, we stayed and watched the rest of the game.. That morning I was standing in line waiting for a cab. I remember looking up the towers, just like I did every time I would when I worked in Sears Tower. I remember innocently catching a cab in front of my hotel at 8:30 to start a client project in Brooklyn at 9, not knowing what was heading my way. I remember standing outside with the entire company staring stunned. After that, all I remember is my client's owner and family taking care of me. All I had was the clothes on my back. Everything else, the hotel and office I was working at the day before was damaged. I don't remember much, knowing I was numb, and that loved ones knew where I was working that day. They just did not know where I was at at that time. I remember calling telling my immediate family I was safe. I remember the before and during so vividly, like it was yesterday.

I am so sorry about the loss of your friend Jim. September 11th was the worst day in American History. I remember just getting my kids ready for school and feeding my twin grand daughters as they were only a couple of month old. And the TV was on and we were watching the news as they were showing the planes hitting the towers.

This day will always be burned into our minds and our hearts, as my heart still goes out the to families of loved ones lost. And all of our hero's that are suffering from illnesses do to that day.

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt story with us and again I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful man.

I hope you have a great weekend..

Just your average every day run of the mill nana here!!!

- Have you put into words an eloquent reminder of the bond you had with him; you will always remember, and it's those shared moments that stay within your mind that allow you to know, he's looking down on you in his own New York state of mind...

That day was a very sad day for us all. I was at work and a guy's sister were in the Towers when it was hit . A few days later she got word to the family she was safe and he came in and told us all. We prayed to God for answering our prayers. I am sorry for your loss.
