Nuns Prefer... the Missionary Position... ðŸ˜ŪðŸ”Ĩ

It was early Sunday morning. I opened a bottle of wine - a refreshing Chablis - and poured myself a glass. I'd started a project to rid my house of clutter... but who does housework sober?

The TV played in the background as a church choir soothed my soul. I pulled on my work gloves. I recalled reading on the web, that nuns prefer the missionary position. It must be true ; but I'll ask... next time I see one.

When you go through your stuff, it's amazing to see how much useless junk you can accumulate. A frayed and worn size 30 belt, taxes from ninety six; I think not. I found an unused coffee gift card - from the year two thousand. Damn! Ya think I can still use it?

The church service continued to inspire me, as I refilled my glass. Did you know that most of us will be going to hell? I'm pretty sure I've got a 'speed pass' waiting for me - so I'm all set.

I'd filled up two more garbage bags with debris and my count (since I started last week), was now up to ten. I felt a sense of accomplishment. I took a break and dug into my fridge for the wine.

Flopping back down on the couch, I looked around at all that I'd done. Nothing looked different. Nothing had changed. In fact (from what I saw), I might as well have sat there on the couch... drinking fucking wine all morning.

The golf channel flashed and Tiger Woods teed off . I'd continue with the clean up, another day. I rose from the couch ; my glass was half empty again... or was it half full?

Ten bags and I'm still not done. There are some things that I just don't have the heart to throw away. You know what I mean? But I'm getting there... ðŸĪ” Wine helps make decisions, move along.

Did you know that I was an alter boy once? Years later, I read about the scandals and it all made sense ; everything fell into place. I never found out where our priest got transfered to. ðŸ˜ķ

Well doesn't look like that NUN is enjoying it Missionary, she seems to like it bent over instead. I think Missionary is a great position and I truly miss it as it's been over 26 years now that I haven't been able to enjoy that one.

As for all your stuff things to accumulate I need to do some spring cleaning here real soon and start packing up stuff. Enjoy the rest of your day and I am sure your glass of wine is half full..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

10 bags.... that's a lot of stuff to not really make a dent. Have you secretly been on an episode of hoarders?

Well... in certain parts of the house... yes, it shows. I have computer equipment from 2002. Yep... I don't know about hoarding, but I always think I may just need THAT cable or connector someday. That day has passed.
And clothes... I've gotta do something with them. 😎 ðŸ”Ĩ🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

Definitely unlike any of the nuns that used to run a local hospital.

The big 'clean-up" is certainly a daunting a task. After both my parents died, I lost track of the hours, days, weeks it took to go through everything they had accumulated over their 50+ yrs of marriage. I am long overdue to go through all my 'stuff' to reduce the burden my kids will experience when I am gone. I better get to the liquor store first.

I understand... I could have tilted this post towards some of the things I've been finding. I coulda made it one of those 'think' pieces. People don't have the patience.
Some of the things that I found I held in my hands then... a ton of memories flooded my head. You know what I mean.
I think I'm done with most of the nostalgia.
How long will it take to go through a bunch of clothes? ðŸĪ”

I hear you about de-materializing with wine for company!! I am about to do it again for the second time in 6 months. BUT this time I have to go get a Dump Permit. Last year it was free like 29 days ago. My how times flied when you are trying to declutter.
PS One of the kitchen drawers: I took out all the tossed in spare change and dumped the rest in a trash bag- yep end of problem/ I keep this up and the NUNS will have a place to play

I thought they were called Nuns because they "ain't had nun, don't want nun".
