Discrete?

I see this word used and it makes me crazy. It should be discreet. These are the differences.

The words discrete and discreet share the same origin (from the Latin discretus, meaning ‘separate’), are pronounced the same way, but have different meanings. Discrete stays true to its Latin origins and means ‘individually separate and distinct’, as in:
This issue is discrete from the others.

On the other hand discreet means ‘careful and circumspect’, as in:
A lot of their work is carried out in a very discreet and confidential manner.
Taken from an excerpt of the Oxford Dictionary.

I can't say I've seen the profiles where they misspell the word. Regardless of how it's spelled, it means one thing to me when I see it on a profile...avoid!!!

I wholeheartedly agree ... except in the actual case where someone's job might be compromised by having explicit photos on the site.

I have married chat friends, but I always make it quite clear that I will not play with married men. They can accept my boundaries or not, that's up to them, and no hard feelings either way. If they are legally separated (which most of them cannot prove), I would give a pass, but that's probably the only time I would consider anything except chat.

I'm not willing to deal with confrontation of any kind with the wife or significant other in an 'attached' situation. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

I do agree with TB5758 though ... spelling and grammar mistakes make me want to poke out eyes ... sometimes mine, but mostly the misspeller's, lol!

if you can't spell it correctly then you shouldn't get it.

Yes, that is annoying. Especially in a world where Google exists and you can look up the meaning/spelling of a word in a few seconds.

Another one I see that is equally annoying to me is "I'm looking for someone dominate".

You get dominated by someone who is dominant.

Damn, people... hahaha

Regardless of spelling , the word is usually used by people who do not list their relationship status.. and I will skip those over.
