Here some interesting facts about the country I live in.
1. Population is only 5.3 million people.
2. We are the only country ever to vote no to independence.
3. Scotland is famous for inventions. Here are just some of them.
TV, Kaleidoscopes, The refrigerator, Penicillin, Bicycles, The toaster, Golf, Tyres, Telephones, Colour photography, Criminal fingerprinting, The hypodermic syringe and Flushing toilets.
4. We are the ONLY country in the world the Coca cola is not the number one soft drink.
5. Scotland has the highest proportions of redheads in the world
6. The haggis has been banned in the USA since the 1970's
7. Scotland has approximately 790 islands.
8. 'Braveheart' was actually the nickname of Robert the Bruce and not William Wallace.
9. Edinburgh was the first city in the world to have its own fire brigade.
10. The small Scots town of Bonnybridge has become the UFO capital of the world
11. Scotland is famous for Whiskey which means the water of life.
12. Sherlock Holmes author was Scottish.
13. The remains of St Valentine are in Glasgow’s Blessed St John Duns Scotus.
14. There are around 300 castles in Scotland. Given its size, it’s about one castle for every 100 square miles.
15. The simple Thistle plant is the national symbol of Scotland.
16. If you want to see the oldest tree in Europe, you should head to Fortingall, Scotland. The tree is no less than 3000 years old.

Went to see the movie last night. Stunning performances from all actors in it. Rami Malek was superb as Freddie Mercury.
The music alone speaks for itself. I would highly recommend if you remotely like music or are a Queen fan this is a must see. The finale is breath taking.
If you have already seen it I would love to hear your comments about it.
