You are so sweet . I really can't tell what I try to do because I am very secretive. I just want people to have what they need and that is thanks enough for me.

Hopefully we will continue to learn more of random acts of kindness during these strange times

What a great story... 😊 👍 ❤️
I DIDN'T swear at the lady who cut me off this morning.
That's something... I guess.
I DID give her a look though.
Yep... Random acts of kindness are the best! 🍒🏝️🍷🍷😎❤️

I have to stay home, as you know. My father looks in on an elder couple that live upstairs in our 3 unit apartment. He always go to see what they need if He is going out to the market. It's nice to see people getting along during these terrible days. Stay Safe!!

Great to hear things have gone your way today. I feel blessed and fortunate as well but not because someone dropped off some goods at my house but because my house was spared last week when the tornado ripped through my town. Not a mile up the road looks like a war zone. I have never seen a tornado do this much damage before. The width was estimated to be a mile and a half wide by about 8.5 miles long. Everything in its path is a total loss. Was without power for about a five days and I think I heard that all power has been restored as of yesterday. However, the close to 400 homes and no telling how many businesses are gone. Nothing left, not even a tree to which there were many. However, I have seen many people out with masks helping the lesser fortunate. Even the extremely wealthy community got devastated. I have donated and will be participating in a fundraiser this Sunday. I have never personally known so many people who lost it all. It is a crazy time here with all the virus, destruction and even flooding. We are resiliant though and will be back fully on our feet in about six months I would guess. But until then I will be counting my blessings.

I have been shopping and collecting stuff for people that can't get out and I buy a couple of things to put in the food bank. Sixth biggest world economy and we have people living on the streets and reliant on food banks!

I am still working (for now anyway, though with a 10% salary cut) so when "Donnie's" much talked about check came in, I passed a good portion of it to the local food bank.

The thing that means the most to me right now is seeing all of the various homemade "Thank You Truckers" signs that my Joey and I have spotted in various places across America. We have delivered several Covid relief loads to New York and New Jersey these last few weeks.

Honestly, our job has never felt as rewarding as it does now. Whether we're delivering 5000 pounds of face masks to New Jersey or hauling a load of non invasive temperature recording thermal cameras to medical centers, I know in my heart that we are doing our part to help where it is needed the most.

Nice of your friend and her church to think of you. Funny you should mention the donation of food at your local store, I often see this sort of thing during the holiday season. But during this time of crisis have not see any thing of the like in my favorite grocery store. I think I might speak with the manager the next time I'm there and mention it to them that this might be a good idea to start. I'm sure the local food pantry's could use the donated food.

As for the random acts here, well the PM and her daughter have been putting "care" packages together every Saturday for some of the people around here at the complex. Not much, just the basics, hand sanitizer, wipes, paper towels, TP., Some food stuffs. Like I said, not much but for some of our elderly residents it helps out a lot.

I am so glad I read your story this morning. It warmed my heart. Around my little town, all you hear about are the crab asses at the grocery store hoarding all the toilet paper, soap, cleaners, coffee filters, etc... and being mean to the cashiers. Yesterday I ventured out for a little while, while wearing my mask, and one of the cashiers told me a story about a guy she was waiting on. She was an older woman, and her mask caused her nose to run. (??) She lowered her mask, took off her gloves, and blew her nose. Then grabbed the hand sanitizer, and replaced everything. The customer started screaming, "You're gonna kill someone!!!!" She said there are 3-4 customers like him every day. I felt so bad for her.
Things I've done? I've been making phone calls to the older people in our church choir. One crazy 70 y.o. lady (love her!) and I spent most of an afternoon, with me teaching her how to do Facebook! It was hilarious, but she was successful. Now she's Private Messaging, Face Timing, and adding photos. Another lady is a retired music teacher, and loves to talk "shop" with me. Her husband is a retired government agent, so her stories are pretty interesting, too. I've volunteered to do errands for the elderly in my church, but haven't got a call yet.

Have a great day, and be nice to one another.

What a great feeling. Your neighbors thoughts. I can imagine your feelings. Since I am the youngest and healthiest, I am the grocery runner. I would hate to see the olders running around. And it gets me "to go" meals from them

We have elderly neighbors all around us, we call to see if they need anything, especially when we are running out to the store, have given vinyl gloves out since we were lucky enough to find some. Drove the ambulance for calls when they were short a driver. Dropped off beer for a friend who had none in his house lol

Now finding you at my door with that lbd on......that would be special!
