It's not possible is it? This is a question I have been asking myself for a while now.i have become very close to a woman that is over 4000 MLS away from me.its not just a sexual attraction we actually have get on as buddys.she is a massive stoner just like myself and we share the same sence of humour.and not afraid to admit I have developed feelings for her.now if u told two years ago that I would find myself in this situation I would have used don't talk crap how can u be friends with somebody you have never met let alone anything else. not so sure of that now.  |

First of all I'd like to say thank you for the heads up I know that sites like these have predators seeking out lonely people to exploit. What in this case like you said typing on voice calls aren't enough to gage a person's personality you have to go to see them. I was a bouncer for over 20 years and spent untold hours observing people so much so i developed it into somewhat of a science . Did you know that 75% of communication between 2 people is non verbal? its body language whether you realise it or not you are reading it this is what gives you the feeling about a certain person because it betrayed their true motives . I like to think myself smarter than the average bear i'm not easily fold but i'd like to see where this leads . Mareus.

Is it possible? Yes, it can happen. However, have you talked with her on the phone, as opposed to just through here or personal emails? Data bytes on a computer screen and keyboard are a poor substitute for conveying emotions and thoughts when compared to face-to-face contact. Or hearing the other person's voice. You have a better feel for them, IMHO, when you are able to hear their voice and/or be in their presence. I have been in similar situations before, and unfortunately have been burned by who turned out to be a really clever scammer. I didn't loose any $$$ (thank the gods), and I'm also not saying that this is what is going on here in your scenario. But, she could be a good scammer, who might be a *he* beyond the keyboard and screen. Trust your instincts; a caution more or less. If you have any doubts, no matter how small they may be, it's good to ask yourself why.  "Be who you are and say what you feel.
