The Holidays with a Swing...? Not This Year :)

Well here it is folks... the week of Christmas. It is the day of days for those of us who decide to imbibe the yuletide cheer that happens only once a year. My gorgeous wife is the one who made Christmas special to me once more.

It is worth experiencing to just see the way her eyes light up when it is time to string 10k lights, put up a tree with zillions of ornaments and things on it, and her Christmas village with it's hundreds of pieces and parts all telling a unique story, a different story year after year.

And on the morning of that special day, I love to watch her wipe the fog out of her brain while she sips that first cup of coffee and perhaps partakes in a bit of organic enhancement... TRYING to stay 'cool' while those presents are boring into her, silently screaming "YOU. KNOW. YOU. WANT. TO. OPEN. ME. DONCHA...? HMMMM? DONCHA???"

I love to watch her open those things and be surprised and sometimes overwhelmed... and most of all I love it when she realizes how much I do love and care about her. Christmas is her holiday that she has shared with me.

And I really do love this time of year with her, so much so that I'm pretty happy we decided to take a break from the playing bit through the holidays. Perhaps we will pick it up again after this magical Christmas season is behind us. But until then? I'm really enjoying this time of year lol!
