Call me Scrooge.... I'm just not feeling the holiday spirit. I think retail has a way of sucking the holiday spirit right of you.... So, I decided wrap Christmas presents tonight. A bigger task than I had thought when I first started . Once I started pulling them of all the nooks and crannies that I'd had them hidden in I was surprised at how much I'd accumulated. Good grief, I spent the better part of 2 hours wrapping those damn things. I'm feeling confident that I'm close being done, though. things are coming in the mail via Amazon and a few stocking stuffers to go and we're golden! more Christmas the belt..... |

I agree with you. Christmas just doesn't feel like Christmas anymore. Everything is shut for just one day only, unlike the old days. Bring ba I the old days that's what I say. Let Christmas feel like Christmas again

It's definitely all about sales.... Daily talks about P&L and labor and being short staffed because we sent people home when we weren't meeting labor projections..... Ugh!!

Hi secret_lade for so many peeps, I start our Christmase conversation with: "We're not exchanging gifts this year, right...", and I always get consensus takes so much pressure off then, I ask my peeps what they want, gift cards or gift cards, from where so, easy now, for the little peeps, I have to ask parents and then, sometimes end up with gift cards and quirky stuffing stockers tha tey cannot deny it's ok take a deep breath, and love the ones you're with made me think of this Natalie Hemby - "Perfect Gift" I never wish for Christmas snow Red ribbons and velvet bows Like ornament singing from the Tree You're the perfect gift for me Decorading with the bridest smile Just like a present makes you feel like a child You're everything I colud ever need You're the perfect gift for me Top of the list so I can't decide Should I wrap you in my arms or keep you as a superise I give you the world but to my concerne All I have is a heart to love you in return I hope that Santa is coming soon With a present that look just like you Told him our secert and he agrees You're the perfecr gift for me
