On today's episode of 'What's in my Purse?'

I ate lunch in my office yesterday, something I rarely do.

Because of the social distancing guideline, only six people at a time can be in the break room at any given point and there were already eight people in there. I would have made .

The problem with being in my office on a break is that I feel I should be working in some way simply because I'm in my office.

So, I cleaned my purse.

In it I had $4.49 in loose change. I had one black sock, a strip of Swipe-Its (glass cleaning wipes), envelopes with the stubs from months worth of car payments, a blue Jolly Rancher that looked like it had gone down with the Titanic, and a myriad of hair ties. There were postage stamps in different pockets of my purse, receipts from the movie theater from 2 years ago, and about 15 different lip glosses in the side zip pocket. I really only ever wear one of them, and now never because of the stupid mas

For the life of , I can't figure out how I ended up with a Jolly Rancher in my purse....

    I love the beaches
To watch the sun rise casting it's first light
Soft hot sands between your toes
Sounds of wave breaking on the beach
The smell of the Salt water for me.
Hot sun beam on ones body
To cool off in the water
The the ice cream truck rings his bell
To fish or fly a kite come evening as the sun set at the end of the day
Have a wonderful day Summer is coming XOXO THOMAS

Get a group of women together in one room with their purses and there isn't anything they don't have. LOL

That old pack has expired many times over. I'll look into those ones you described. They are more convenient than bulging pockets and came incredibly helpful when the kids were small ; Band-Aids and a bunch of other stuff was always on hand.
Belly button? 🤔 lol 😂 Okie dokie

... is there another way to look at it.

I can't stand lugging around a purse full of ... whatevers.

When I was working full-time, I had to declutter the thing at least once a week. Somehow I always managed to accumulate at least 5 different lipsticks (WTH). Now that I'm not working full-time, it rarely needs decluttering.

I carry what I consider the basics: a lipstick, my wallet, a small hairbrush, a pen, my cellphone. Once a week I usually scrape up any loose receipts or change that have managed to filter to the bottom, but now that I'm not out and about every day, both are minimal.

Now that everything is closed, I find that I have way less paper clutter. No receipts, no coupons, no fliers tucked everywhere.... But, because I mail stuff out at work I end up with the mail remnants of stuff. I prefer to not mail anything out at the building as the outgoing mail sits in an open wall file next to the mailboxes for the postman. My original intent is to just shred the stuff once I've got it mailed, I just, never manage to put it in the shredder.

I was just reading about that pandemic this morning.... I still don't know the true origins of where that sock came from.

Hmmm, I'm seeing a pattern here...blue Chewbacca...blue Jolly Rancher....hmmm' what color were those eyes?

I suggest you close and lock the door to your office and turn the lights out..that should take care of the feeling you should be working. Just don't fall asleep without setting your alarm clock...

I went to check my purse to see what I have in it but couldn't find it...now I'm wondering where I left it...

But seriously...I emptied the pockets of my jacket the other day to wash it as somehow someone had splattered spaghetti sauce all over the back and sleeve. I shouldn't have hung it on the back of the kitchen chair I guess. My son denied any knowledge of the situation but then again he always denies everything... So I got a box to put the stuff in while I was putting the jacket through the washer and dryer. First I pulled out a flashlight about 7 inches long and 1.5 inches diameter with a magnetic base that you can slide the handle away from the head to use as an area light instead of just the narrower beam from the head. I think I need to change batteries in that as I went to use it yesterday and it wouldn't stay on. Then I pulled out one of those power pack things 6000mah to charge my phone with If needed. Then a pocket gas soldering iron/ torch. Probably not a good idea to be carrying to potentially explosive devices together in one pocket. then I pulled out the note pad (paper) and a small bundle of 4 inch tywraps. Next came the paint can opener that is used to open devices that are installed in poor accessibility locations and the occasional paint can. Lastly a cable stripper. Those all came from the inside breast pocket or are those called chest pockets? I then opened Velcro tabbed flap on the extra mesh pocket attached to the outside of the inside breast pocket. From there I withdrew the business cards and a couple condoms ; hey you never know... Then I moved on to the side hand pockets. First thing out from them was my work gloves then I removed the gas torch that I use to thaw out the locks on my truck after the frequent freezing rains ☔ or the general splashing of water onto the locks especially of the locking handles on the truck cap. Next was a spare flashlight (I also have one on my belt) yeah I work in the dark a lot, I even added a small clip on one to my jacket zipper last fall. Then I removed a box of cable staples for one of my staplers. Then came numerous cable electrical connectors of various kinds and sizes and some cable ground clamps and other types of connectors. A spare hook from a rubber hold down strap. Miscellaneous fastening hardware (screws, nuts, washers, etc). Two tubes of chapstick..one honey the other lime, one in each pocket, to keep my lips nice and soft and kissable. A roll of electrical tape from each pocket. A usb auto charger with a cord that works for the battery power pack from the other pocket. A carpenter pencil sharpener that I can't remember ever using as I just use my pocket knife or utility knife. A carabiner with several smaller carabiners clipped on and a couple with numerous keys. A spare box of staples. Several Allen wrenches. A razor scraper. More keys. You know those permanent markers, well they don't last long on keys. I should have stamped them with numbers or names long ago. well that's most of the stuff from my jacket pockets. Then there is the shirt/jacket that I usually wear under the jacket. That only has to breast pockets but they usually are bulging with resistor packs screw and anchor packets and extra paint can opener and an artist paint brush and contact sets and maybe a roll of electrical tape. I've really got to find that purse soon. One of these days when I'm walking around in a store with my pockets bulging some damn fool is going to ask me to empty my pockets thinking they saw me put my hands in them after I was looking at some part or something. I've imagined that happening and saying are you sure you really want me to do that with a devious look in my eyes.
Oh My Goodness... That's a LOT of stuff! How does it all fit? And, how heavy is your jacket?? LOL

My purse now is nothing compared to the purse I carried in my 20's. That one always had a brush, hairspray, make up case, match box cars for my oldest son to play with, 15 lbs of loose change as we only used cash for everything back then, acetone, clear nail polish, a nail file, an emergency asthma inhaler for my ex, an emergency bic lighter for my ex, pepper spray, and meal replacement bars as I would go long periods of time without eating and they would keep me from feeling sick.

Where WERE you when I needed that rattlesnake bite antidote last week??? LOL Do you still wear the fanny pack? They make some really funny ones now that look like a big beer gut, belly button and all.

True! There is no telling what you might find in my purse. It's usually crammed full of receipts.... But I haven't been going anywhere or doing anything with the current state of things so that had drastically minimized.
