Today's Highlights

1. Received a text from the Spawn. No.... Hi Mom, how are you, I miss you... After all, it has been six days since I seen her last.

Spawn - How's Tilly?
Me - A spawn of Satan. Pure evil. She needs you.
Spawn - Ha ha ha Glad to hear.

Um, yah. There's a reason I call her the Spawn.

2. I've discovered the benefit of having an ex-husband that is old enough to retire.

Retirement means free time!

Free time to take the to dentist appointments that I'd forgotten about until the day before. Fucking fantastic!! For twenty six years I've been the one who has always had to miss work to do the doctor, dentist, school thing... At long last it is his turn and I couldn't be more excited!

Bonus... He's looking forward to this stuff.

3. Apartment Complex Stud.... Not Gone!! I got up, got ready for work, headed out the door only to find....

Apartment Complex Stud's truck was parked right next to my car.

WTF?!?

I know I saw furniture and boxes out in the hallway. The mattress still had a sheet on it.

When I got home from work there was an enveloped outside his apartment that said "Please sign and return to the office ASAP".

4. People are infinitely more friendly to me when I'm carrying pet items.

Today I had to pick up more food and litter for the little scallion... I headed to the registers and prepared to wait in line when the lady in front of me offered to let me go before her.

Really??

I thanked her and we talked a little about my new kitty.... Then I realized, the same thing happened last week when I bought her litter box and cat food. People just love a pet person.... And, now I'm a pet person.

5. Dark chocolate covered sea salt caramels.... YUMMO!!!

You: "What does the catnip do? I tried the small box thing.... I took a shoe box and put it on the floor in the living room. After eyeballing it for about an hour, she's climbed in it, jumped in it, tried to tip it over, and spied on me from inside it. LOL"

Me: The catnip is like a pheromone drug to most cats. Mine will pummel and sniff the sock for up to 5 minutes at a time. They will go back to it all through the day. Have yet to meet a cat that did not like a box or a paper bag to romp in.
I'm going to give it a try. So far, she's not bad much interest in toys, maybe that one will be the winner.

Catnip is like kitty marijuana, though it doesn't affect all cats. It can either make her even more playful or knock her out.

One of my cats rolls around in it, another eats it. It can be fun to watch them with it.
I'm going to have to give it a try with her. She's quite a character.

In a sense, sexuality is the built-in psychedelic experience that only a very few people manage to evade.

Yah, but, at least he's pretty to look at.

For Tilly: Take an old sock and put about a tablespoon of catnip in it then tie it off. Be aware not all cats go for catnip but the majority do.

For you: Fill a nice wine glass with a good Riesling (A Spatlese is best), put your feet up and enjoy the sunset.

#5 - That is why I can't keep them in the house anymore. Costco has some that I can't ration myself with.
At the check out register we had them on sale. Three caramels in the package. OMG! Yummo!! I ate all three as soon as I got home. LOL

People are nicer when you have pet stuff because they know you are a caring person
In a way... It's kind of like when you see someone with a baby. It draws you in, I think.

I have no idea what is going on! I honestly thought he moved. Just took the garbage out a few minutes ago and the envelope is still outside his apartment and his vehicle is not in the parking lot.

True.. about pets and meeting people!
Also true about lugging the kids around to their appointments. It's not so bad, at least for me it wasn't. We always had a good time. 👍😊
It's different when it's an expectation.... It's expected out of a mom. When a dad does it, their looked upon as a hero.
