Height: Does it matter?

I was reading a blog post by an inactive female member the other day and it gave me "food for thought" on an issue I have never really had an opportunity address online-- how does a guy feel about height and does it matter?

I am sure that many men have at least fantasized about being enveloped and dominated sexually by a woman who is much taller than them (I have), and a select few "Amazon" women may actually prefer shorter men, promoting the fact that the are "worth the climb". There is likely more fantasy than reality associated with these scenarios.

Even though chemistry is first and foremost for me when it comes a lover, I have admit that height does a roll in an ongoing relationship--It's undeniably part of that chemistry. Once I was with a woman who is 6'2" (I am 5'"). Although she was a great kisser, it was admittedly awkward for her lean over kiss when standing together.  Laying down it was less awkward, but when it came to being sexual our bodies just didn't fit right, and mutual satisfaction was elusive.

I get it that most women want to at least sense the feel of protection by having a taller companion. There is also still a bit of stigma attached to a tall woman being with a shorter man- one example out of Hollywood is when Tom Cruse and Nicole Kidman were still together - he is 5'8" and she is 5'". Cruse had wear risers in his shoes, and/or Kidman had ditch the heels when they were out in public together.

For , the ideal (though never completely a deal-breaker) is a woman my height or a few inches shorter, as kissing at eye-level is effortless and natural, arms can more easily reach those erogenous zones, and my erection can be felt at a very strategic location..

I won't go out with a man that's shorter than I am. Terribly "short"-sighted of me, isn't it?? (yup, pun intended!)
Since I'm 5'1", it's not usually difficult to find one taller. That being said, I still prefer a man that's 5'9" or taller. I've been out with several that were 6'3" to 6'4". Makes for an interesting time just trying to kiss.

Lol so true.. when it comes to short men, I think of Prince and Dudley Moore-- he was dwarfed big time by Bo Derek in "10".

I have to say I prefer taller men, perhaps it is the strong arm protection thing,, but if I met a shorter man,,, as long as he wasn't shorter than me,, I would be open to meeting

This is one of the last great prejudices left in the world.
Why does a man need to be taller than a woman.
Laying down everything fits. It is more public perception than anything.
Yes we all have our preferences.

I'm 5'1" and my preference is for men who are 5'1" to 5'6". I don't need to feel protected, whatever that means, or "dainty" by comparison. I like being able to look a man in the eye and put my arms around him without feeling like I need to climb.

I would be willing to consider a man shorter than me but they tend to be vanishingly rare. I was once acquainted with a man who was a few inches shorter than me but he was married and also my supervisor, so he wouldn't have been acceptable for those reasons.

I dated a guy who was a bit shorter than me for a time. He was around 5 foot 3.

I'm 5 foot, 6.5 inches tall, though I tend to slouch so you'd think I'm only around 5 foot 4 or so. It was a bit awkward to kiss him face to face, as I had to tilt my head down a bit, when I'm more used to lifting up my head.

That said, somewhere between 5 foot 8 to 6 foot 3. I don't really have an exact preference when it comes to height, but at least be a bit taller than me.

I love amazon women. Height is not an issue.
