Had not used MapQuest for a long time, but boy has it changed.
Thought I recalled that I could get right down to the street location, but see no way to do that now with the new changes.
Guess I need to look for another helpful site. Tried Google Earth and it is a pain.
Maybe just not in the mood this morning.

Long and Drug Out !!!!!

Endured one of those long and drug out DR's visits today - preop eye tests and exams in preparation for surgery finally on R eye. Would have liked the surgery either scheduled before Thanksgiving, at least before Xmas, but no such luck. Too many other's wanting to get in on the last hurrah bandwagon before end of year, so mid-January it will have to be unless someone cancels.
Want this over with, Retina Specialist says this surgery should help with all the horrible problems have had with Vertigo and lack of balance.
Wish me luck they will have a cancellation and get me shoved in the operating room before scheduled date.

Yep, back up in the Country again after romping in the beach sand for most of the days last week. Got some of the small unfinished projects completed and out of the way. THANK HEAVENS !!!! Now hopefully can relax a few days.

Yep, getting things pulled together to trek back down to beach for a few days of work and shaping up.
Might have picked the wrong week to go back down as it is supposed to rain from possibly Tues thru Fri, but most of what I have to do is inside.
Will try to enjoy no matter what.

If any of you bloggers have downloaded "Windows 10", tell me about how
it differs from Windows 7 or other apps?
Am a bit hesitant to go for it, as it seems with any new app, there are some
glitches and not being a 'tech' guru, don't like change.

Cool At Night, BUT ............

Only had a few days of nice Fall weather, and nights way too cool, BUT
think it's time to 'high tail it' to the beach maybe this weekend or the first
of the week for a few days. Got a new bolt of upholstery fabric to make
new covers for the sun porch furniture cushions, so this might be a good time to
get that off the bucket list. Don't need to put it off much longer - hate sewing now days.
Turquois with white coral designs, should brighten up things a bit and get rid of the old tired magnolia print, yellow and green.
 Will soon be Halloween!!!!

Not much going on for me except keep an appointment this afternoon to show a rental unit. Sure hoping to get it occupied as me and the painter have completely redone the inside. Looks almost new, so hoping the young lady signs up on it - always nice to have a few more dollars coming in.

Was eating my dinner tonight after it got dark, and the hazy glow from the security light across the street and the cold turning the moisture across my front yard and
trees was almost magical. Looked like the setting for a wonderful winter wonderland, preparing for Xmas. I just left the house lights on and watched it for the longest.
Needed some magic in my life today. Maybe tomorrow will bring a bit more excitement. Such a small thing to get excited about, but it worked to make life interesting for this ole lady.
 As magical as these floating down from the sky when snowing.

Isn't it a wonderful treat to have a cup or two of your choice of coffee when the weather changes to Fall, the aroma and warmth of such a treat at any time of day or night. About to have one this morning myself and check out the weather outside.
Anyone care to join me? Just think about having a cup or two. Will be totally enjoyable this morning here in SE N.C. as the temps have turned very cool - supposed to be down in the 40's over the weekend. Going from 65 or so the first of the week at night is a drastic change for us. The colder rain and winds brought it in over the last couple of days.

Have been searching for a Blogger from several years back,
Cherimore who produced a lot of neat bling and lived in Florence and Columbia, S.C.
Was wanting to check on her since those areas of S.C. have had some terrible flooding in the past several weeks.
If anyone knows how to locate here on here, I'd appreciate any info. Maybe she changed her blogger name!!!!

Know there are those of you out there that could use some rain water, well
could easily get it for free by providing a huge water tanker. Here in SE NC and South Carolina, there is water abound from these two storms, and they tell us we are to get another 12+" on top of the up to 8" already on the ground.
Hoping it will stop coming down soon. Am hoping my new 'little hut' on a peninsula close to the Intra Coastal Waterway has not taken off in all this water like a pantoon
boot!!!!!

Went to the church Homecoming today. Nice service, and tons of food at the dinner afterwards. My neighbors and church members there BBQ'd a pig yesterday to serve
and 5-8ft tables full of pot luck. Didn't appear much had been eaten for a long while.
I ate way too much.
About that time of year for Homecomings at churches in the South this time of the year. How about in other parts of the USA, do most of your churches observe such in the Fall?
