 I don't remember at what age he started, but my Father would celebrate his Birthday for a week. I don't see any reason why you can't start at 60.

 Hummm, let's see, the 19th, I was driving from Alabama to South Carolina, for the start of my own NOT staycation, during which I rolled past the Embassy Suites in Tulsa on both directions.
